HOW IT ALL GOT BEGAN
I didn't think I'd become a Coach...ever
My name is Michael Heim. I'm from a small region in the Pacific Northwest, called the Palouse, where the conditions are perfect for lots of dry crop farming like wheat, lentils and canola - the image above is from right outside my hometown. I have been working as a trained and certified Coach (CCE-BCC & ICF-ACC) since 2012 and I've worked in Higher Education since 2004 in performance based grant projects, developing students and seeing significant increases in their personal and professional development.

The magic of coaching occurs during the time between coaching sessions. In other words, in the real world. Clients execute one part of their plan and coaches execute on another which includes measuring and ensuring accountability standards are followed. Coaches are specific and unwavering in maintaining standards, but also unconditional when providing support. We know it's challenging to perform consistently at the highest levels.
